November 2022:
Movember

1st November:

This November, Mitch will be one of 6 million people worldwide growing a Moustache to support the Movember Foundation (https://au.movember.com/), which raises funds for mental health and suicide prevention, testicular and prostate cancer. Movember is an opportunity to encourage our boys to share, learn and grow into men who live longer, healthier, happier lives.

15th November:

Mental health plays an important role in paediatric physiotherapy. Suicide is the leading cause of death for 15-24 year-olds worldwide, accounting for 38% of all deaths. Over the last 10 years, suicide in young Australians has increased by more than 60%, and sadly, in 2019, 96 children aged between 5-17 years old took their life. Paediatric Physiotherapy is more than just fixing body parts. We help children with different needs participate in activities which are meaningful to them and their families. Holistic healthcare means understanding children and providing support for the whole person, not just their physical abilities.

30th November:

As Movember comes to a close, it’s time to say goodbye to Mitch’s iconic moustache for another year. We’ll wrap up with a special reminder to share, listen and ask for help when we need. Regardless of how small or insignificant our child’s problem may seem, if we validate their emotions by showing genuine care and support, they’ll grow up with more kindness and empathy in their hearts <3.
